Wieland is a global supplier of outstanding solutions in the semi-finished products industry, coupled with superior customer service. The company will be exhibiting at this year's Elmia Subcontractor trade fair from 14 – 17 November in Jönköping, Sweden. The focus is on solutions for drinking-water applications, in particular copper materials for components such as fittings and valves as well as on fittings including lead-free machining brass. Further highlights from Wieland can also be seen, such as finned tubes and high-performance tubes for the cooling industry.
The lead-free material ECOBRASS can be further processed by machining, forging and cold forming. The casting properties of the ECOCAST variant are optimised. Chips and scrap are taken back by Wieland and returned to the production process in the course of recycling. The company pays special attention to the brass rod "W5000" with increased straightness, material CW614N. The "W5000" is delivered from stock with a much higher straightness than specified in product standards (characteristic values max. 0.5 mm/m and up to Ø 30 mm as well as outside diameters of up to Ø 30 mm with a tolerance range of H8), which means that significantly higher machining speeds can be achieved on state-of-the-art turning machines.
Wieland will also exhibit tubes and fittings made of K65 alloy. In refrigeration technology, especially in the area of supermarket refrigeration systems, ecologically oriented plant concepts are increasingly being used today. The natural refrigerants used in this process require materials with high strength for tubes, connectors and heat exchangers. The K65 tube system is a core component for more environmentally friendly refrigeration systems. The tube system is suitable for high-pressure applications, e. g. up to 120 bar and offers easy processing and excellent heat transfer properties.
